9 riders and a dog ventured out for the first of the summer season rides and then back for a meal at the pub. All very civilised and included the new bridge and cycle path just to the west of the Gilpin Bridge Inn to avoid the main A590 developed in a partnership effort between Cumbria County Council, Amey Mouchel (Highways Agency) and Sustrans, it's nearly finished!!
We set off for the quick circuit past Ravens Lodge and up Buckhouse Wood for the warm up! then through Beck Head and along the lane to Witherslack School, turn left and head south to Yewbarrow and enjoy the slippery descent to Church Road and back via Town End and the downhill below White Scar, what fun! and all back for pie & chips!
We then discussed the 2006 summer ride schedule and rearranged it a few times to meet everyones holiday plans! Note the new 'Rads ride list' link on the blog.
So next week 20 April, it's Waternill at Ings for 6-6.15pm.
