13th February 2014 - Ambleside, Pelter Bridge
4 of us met up at Pelter Bridge car park, Charlie, Jamie, George and CT, it was raining at the start but soon stopped. Usual-ish route (clockwise) along the road by the river under loughrigg, right and up the hill, steady climb, the rocky test after the top gate was a little toooo much for CT who hit the rocks, more padding required if you ride like that:) then at the top of the hill very windy for a little section, but the downhill was OK, back round the tarn, detour past the hostel, up and over the grassy knoll here it was slippy on the grassy bits, watch out. Climb up to the track above Grasmere, pause for malt loaf (cheers Charlie... don't forget the butter knife next time;) and then head for the caves, a little play time later and back to the cars. Next ride is Haverthwaite.
