14th December 2006 - Grizedale

Here are a few words from our on the spot reporter.....
"A dry evening for all those that turned up to Grizedale Visitor center. George had given his excuses the week before – he had obviously seen the long range forecast. Chris had sent a text to the TG earlier in the day claiming a “rain check” on the grounds that Laura was ill. Grant and Joel are obviously now keenly contesting the BGB and not even trying to give excuses. It was hoped that Ian might turn up to guide us round the complex forest, but perhaps the flooding was bad in Kirkby Lonsdale. Jamie must have had enough of a wet day. Neil – we thought you were a hard core Trailquester. Too far for Paul perhaps, and we had high hopes of the ‘new’ Chris. So that left Billy (no mates) alone in the car park – Billy never got out of the van so never got wet. Hopefully you will all be shamed into turning out for a New Years day ride – hangovers or not. The plan is to meet in Stavley Woodmill yard ready to go at 10.45 on Monday 1st January 2007. We will return there for late lunch/afternoon tea at Wilfs if anyone (family etc) want to join the less energetic part of the day."
The next listed ride is on 4th January 2007 at Watermill Inn, Ings.
