10th November 2016 - Troutbeck for Robin Lane

In the end 4 made it out on a chilly but dry evening, George, Joel, Jamie and CT; George had a problem with his dropper post and so actually came out on a vintage Spesh' with novel 26 inch wheels and a triple chainset, took a while for George to work out how it worked and the granny ring needed manual engagement! So straight up into Troutbeck for Robin lane route to see what had been done to Jenkins Crag. At last the hill warmed us up! The route to Ambleside is great, OK so a 30m stretch, the rocky bit down Jenkins has been graded but it's still a hill and there are plenty of rocky roots elsewhere to test. We then went into Ambleside and up and over Loughrigg and back via the coffin route...then back up Jenkins, it is a tester and ride back to the cars, it was past 10pm:) so a good ride in the end.
